I've been using celtx on windows 2000 without problems, but I would like to use it now on Fedora Core 3 (Linux) and I've had no success. A previous bug report by Uri mentioned that the installation worked in root only. I've tried both user and root and it won't work. The bug I keep getting is :
Chrome Registration failed for Extension '{6b7340d1-f1ed-11d8-83cA-000A95c96706}' when calling nsIXULChromeRegistry::installPackage with this chrome path: jar:file:///root/.mozilla/firefox/l3nlni2l.default/extensions/%7B6b7340d1-f1ed-11d8-83cA-000A95c96706%7D/chrome/celtx.jar!/content/ (profile extension = true). Perhaps this path does not exist within the chrome JAR file, or the contents.rdf file at that location is malformed?
To me it looks like the problem is the chrome path with the "%7B' and '%7D'. Maybe it's not reading those symbols properly, but I don't know enough about the Chrome Registry in firefox to be able to fix the chrome path problem.
I'm using a full installation of Fedora Core 3, using the kde desktop. All requirements are met.
Help!
